There are provisions for South Carolina drunk driving penalties under three different categories based on the level of blood alcohol concentration at the time of dui arrest. The punishments are the most severe if the BAC level is more than 0.16. The lowest penalties are awarded when the BAC level is less than 0.10 but more than 0.08.
